Crafting is a set of skills that allows players to gather, refine and create items for use during Shroud of the Avatar gameplay. The crafting system includes, resource gathering, refining, production, repair, and enhancement.
Recipes
The recipe log
Recipes for each skill are kept in the recipe log, which can be accessed with the "r" hotkey. The log has a Table of Contents, which lists each skill and clicking on the skill takes the player to that skill's recipes. The recipe entries show an image of the crafted item, the name of the item and the number and type of materials and tools needed.
Skills
There are 15 crafting skills in Shroud of the Avatar. They are divided up into three categories:
- Gathering skills collect resources from the game world and provide materials for crafting.
- Refining skills take raw materials and refine them into components ready for assembly with production skills.
- Production skills take raw and refined materials and make usable items such as furniture, decorations, armor, weapons, etc.

Carpentry Table
Each of the skills have distinct tools for use and refining and production skills have crafting tables needed in order to craft items. Crafting tables can be placed in player housing or can be found in the following public areas:
To craft an item, double-click on the appropriate crafting table. When the crafting table comes up (see image to the right), place the appropriate tools and materials onto the table. When the correct combination of tools and materials are on the table, the "Craft" button at the bottom will light up. Click "Craft" and the item will appear and the materials will disappear.
