Shroud of the Avatar is intended to have several game modes to give players several options for single or multiplayer play.

Single-player modes

• Offline: Players play alone in their own instance of the world running on their own system.
• Online: Players play alone in the persistent online world.

Selective multiplayer

The game will offer selective multiplayer, a variety of modes that offer a range of options of which other players to game with. The details of selective multiplayer are not yet known.
