NPCs, or Non-player characters, is a term used to refer to individuals and creatures that aren't controlled by another human player. It is commonly reserved for characters that are not hostile to the avatar, but it can include enemies, especially if they are named and important to the story.
List of important NPCs
This is not a complete list of NPCs, but includes those with particular importance to the story, who are frequently encountered, or in some other way special.
- Oracle: A machine being that guides the avatar.
- Edvard the Wanderer: A bard who is encountered in the starting areas for all three paths.
